"When we get close, we hear things that can't be heard from afar. We see things that can't be seen. And sometimes that makes the difference between acting justly and unjustly.”

– Bryan Stevenson

Proximity for Justice was designed based on criminal justice reformer Bryan Stevenson’s insight that for change to happen, we must:

1. Get proximate

2. Change the narrative

3. Have hope

4. Do something uncomfortable

Ignite Change through Dialogue and Connection

We bring CEOs, community leaders, victims of crime, philanthropists, law enforcement, public policy makers, academics, and formerly incarcerated people together inside prisons with those who live and work there in events designed to encourage dialogue, forge connections, and inspire change.
